At least 12 people were injured in a three-vehicle collision on the Dhaka-Mawa Expressway near the Nimtali bus station in Sirajdikhan upazila, Munshiganj, on Saturday.

Abdul Kader Zilani, officer-in-charge of Hasara highway police, reported that the accident occurred when a speeding Survi Paribahan bus rear-ended a Green Dhaka Transport bus, which then collided with a road safety patrol vehicle stationed ahead. The crash left 12 passengers of the Survi Paribahan bus injured.

The impact caused significant damage to all three vehicles, with the front of the Survi Paribahan bus suffering the most severe destruction.

Fire service personnel quickly arrived on the scene to assist the injured, and ten victims were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment.

In the aftermath, traffic was diverted to another lane, and normal flow resumed once the damaged vehicles were cleared.

Police have seized all three vehicles involved in the incident for further investigation.
