Three killed as bus hits CNG autorickshaw in Gazipur

Three people were killed and three others injured when a bus hit a CNG-run auto-rickshaw on Dhaka-Kishoreganj road in Kapasia upazila of Gazipur district on Tuesday.


The deceased were identified as Ratna Akter, 32, her son Shayan, 4 and Toufidul Islam, 14, son of Abul Kalam of Tarail upazila in Kishoreganj district.

The accident occurred in the afternoon near Surya Narayanpur Palli Bidyut area when the Kishoreganj-bound bus of ‘Annanya Classic Paribahan’ from Dhaka hit the CNG-run auto-rickshaw, leaving two killed on the spot and four others injured, said Joynal Abedin Mandal, officer-in-charge of Kapasia Police Station, reports UNB. 

Among the injured, one died on the way to Dhaka.
