Ambulance-CNG collision kills two in Mymensingh

Two people were killed in a head-on collision between a CNG-run auto rickshaw and an ambulance on Mymensingh-Haluaghat Highway this afternoon.


The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Officer-in-Charge of Tarakanda Police Station Tipu Sultan said the accident took place at about 5:30pm near Himalaya filing station at Ramchandrapur area under Tarakanda upazila.

He said the auto -rickshaw collided head-on with Mymensingh-bound ambulance, resulting in the deaths of two. Four others received injuries in the accident.

On receiving information, police from the concerned thana rushed to the spot and took the injured to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.

The bodies were kept at the police station to be handed over to family members, reports BSS. 

The process of filing a case is underway.
