Two killed, 7 hurt in M'singh road accident

Two people were killed and seven others injured in a road accident in Bagunda area under Tarakanda upazila of the district today.


The identities of the deceased could not be known.

The accident took place around 11.30 am on the Mymensingh-Phulpur highway when a bus collided head-on with a CNG-run auto rickshaw, leaving its two passengers dead on the spot and seven others injured, said Mohammad Tipu Sultan, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Tarakanda Police Station.

Several other high-speed vehicles, including a pickup van another auto-rickshaw and a covered van, were also involved in the collision, the OC said.

The injured were taken to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital, reports BSS.
