Truck-easy bike collision kills 3 in Chuadanga

Three people, including the driver of a battery-run easy bike, were killed and four others injured in a collision between a truck and an easy bike in Chuadanga’s Jafarpur area on Friday evening. The accident occurred just before dusk near the BGB-6 Battalion camp on the Jafarpur road in Sadar upazila, police said.


Dr Al Imran Jewel, a physician at Chuadanga Sadar Hospital’s emergency department, said, “Two people were brought dead to the hospital. Another person succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment. Four others are currently admitted, and the condition of one of them is critical.”

Chuadanga Sadar Police Station's Investigation Officer, Inspector Shahidur Rahman, confirmed the casualties, adding, “Two people died on the spot, and one more passed away at the hospital. Both the truck and the easy bike have been seized. An investigation is underway.”

The identities of the deceased and injured were not immediately known, reports UNB.
