Two farmers electrocuted in Kishoreganj

Two farmers died from electrocution at Tarakandi village of Ramdi union under Kuliarchar upazila of the district today.


The deceased were Md. Shahabuddin, 70, a resident of Tarakandi village and Md. Majnu Mia, 60, a resident of Purba Tarakandi village of the union.

The accident occurred this afternoon when they were working at their firm land near their house. They died on the spot after a live electric wire from a rural transmission line fell on them, reports BSS. 

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kuliarchar Police Station Md. Helal Uddin confirmed the matter. 

Police recovered the bodies and handed those over to their families.
