CNG passenger dies in Habiganj road crash

A youth was killed and two others were injured in a road accident in Jagatpur area under Shayestaganj upazila of the district last night.

The deceased was Monir Hossain, 23, son of Ilias Mia of Sultan Mahmudpur village in Sadar upazila.


The accident took place on the Shayestaganj-Habiganj road around 11 pm when a CNG-run auto-rickshaw collided head-on with a pickup van, leaving CNG passenger Monir dead on the spot and two others injured, said Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Shayestaganj Police Station Dilip Kanta Nath, reports BSS. 

The injured were taken to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital in critical condition.
