Three killed in Faridpur road accident

Three people, including a woman, were killed and at least 15 others were injured in a head-on collision between two buses on Kanaipur Notun Bridge on the Dhaka-Khulna highway today.


The identities of the deceased couldn't be ascertained immediately.

The accident took place around 12.30 pm when a Dhaka-bound bus of 'Royal Express' collided head-on with another bus of 'Darshana Deluxe' Paribahan leaving three passengers dead on the spot and 15 other passengers of both the vehicles injured, said Md. Salauddin Chowdhury, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Karimpur Highway Police Station.

The injured were taken to Faridpur Medical College Hospital, reports BSS.
