Mother, son killed in Mirsarai road accident

A mother and her son were killed when a pickup van collided with a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in front of the Forest Office on the Karerhat-Ramgarh road in Mirsarai upazila this afternoon.


The deceased were identified as Rabeya Khatun, 40, and her son Md Hossain, 12.

The accident occurred around 3pm when the pickup hit the autorickshaw, leaving the two critically injured. They were rushed to Chattogram Medical College Hospital by locals, but doctors declared them dead on arrival, reports BSS. 

Jorarganj Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Nur Alam confirmed and said the vehicle involved in the accident had been seized.

The bodies were handed over to the family after completion of legal formalities, he added.
