Woman killed being hit by pickup van at Dhaka’s Rampura

An unidentified woman was killed after being hit by a speeding pickup van in front of Forazi Hospital at Rampura Dhaka in Dhaka on Sunday night.


Hasan, a pedestrian, said when the woman, aged about 65, was crossing the road the pickup van knocked her down around 10:45 pm.

Some pedestrians took the seriously injured woman to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where doctors at the emergency department declared her dead.

The pickup van and its driver have been taken into custody by Rampura Police, reports UNB. 

Inspector Md. Faruk, in-charge of the DMCH police camp, said the body has been kept at the hospital morgue and police have been informed.
