Two killed, 7 injured in Dinajpur road crash

Two people were killed and seven others injured in a head-on collision between a passenger bus and easy bike on the Dinajpur-Rangpur highway in Chirirbandar upazila of the district this morning.


The deceased were Morsheda Begum, 35, wife of Jahangir Alam of Saidpur Kajikal area in ??Nilphamari district and Aduri Roy, 18, daughter of Subash Chandra Roy, a resident of Dighaldangi village in Nilphamari Sadar upazila.

The accident occurred around 7.30 am near Trillion Gold Limited (EPZ) area of the upazila when a bus collided head-on with an easy bike, leaving two easy bike passengers dead on the spot and seven others injured, said Inspector Md. Mahabul Karim, Officer-in-Charge of Dashmile Highway Police Station. 

The injured were admitted to Syedpur Upazila Health Complex.

All the deceased and injured were employees of Trillion Gold Limited (EPZ). They were all on their way to join their daily work when the accident occurred, reports BSS.
