The training of officials of different levels of field administration will begin on today (October 1) ahead of the 12th parliamentary elections.

On the first day, the training of 100 Upazila Nirbahi Officers (UNOs) will begin in four batches.

The Election Commission (EC) decided to arrange training for all the election officials to hold the upcoming national election flawlessly. However, there are various complaints regarding bigotry in the administration.

Each batch will undergo a two-day training session at the Election Training Institute (ETI) at Agargaon in the capital. Later, the EC will train the Divisional Commissioners, DIGs, Police Commissioners, DCs, SPs, Regional Election Officers and District and Upazila Election Officers.

It is known that a total of 1,014 UNOs and Upazila Election Officers will be trained as part of the field-level administration training.
