Mobile court fines 13 shops TK 24,000 in Kuakata

Kuakata Bus terminal opened recently for parking tourist cars.



Patuakhali A mobile court, headed by Kalapara UNO, Executive magistrate Md. Zahangir Hossain fined 24,000 taka on 13 shops for not displaying the fixed price list of products in Kuakata, operating the floating shops in a disorderly manner. On Saturday (October 21) at 11 o'clock at Kuakata Beach, the mobile court paid the fine.

The convicts are Md. Russell's pickle shop, Md. Shamim Khalifa's Pickle Shop, Simon P Khaskel's Pickle Shop, Fazlu Gong's Floating Food Shop.

Mobile court judge and upazila executive officer Md. Jahangir Hossain said that the shopkeepers are setting the prices of the products they like to the tourists coming to Kuakata. This is a precautionary campaign to prevent such things from happening to tourists coming for Durga Puja. - Gofran Palash
