Bhairab train collision: Families of deceased to get Tk 1 lakh
Railways Minister Nurul Islam Sujan has said Tk 1 lakh will be given to each of the families of train accident in Bhairab of Kishoreganj October 23.
Railways Minister Nurul Islam Sujan has said Tk 1 lakh will be given to each of the families of the victims, who were killed in train accident in Bhairab of Kishoreganj October 23.
He told this at a meeting with the journalists at Rail Bhaban in the capital on Thursday.
The minister said a total of 20 people were killed and 35 others injured in the accident.
Among the injured, 10 are still receiving treatment at different hospitals.
The Railways ministry will bear the cost of their treatment until they are cured.
The accident occurred when a Chattogram-bound freight train collided head-on with the Dhaka-bound Egarosindhur Express on October 23, leaving 20 people dead .
