Coffee and cashew nuts of Ctg Hill Tracts will get brand recognition

Rangamati, February 9: Adviser on Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs Supradeep Chakma has mentioned that coffee and cashew nuts of Chittagong Hill Tracts will be recognized as reliable branding of Bangladesh.

The adviser said this while speaking as the chief guest at a view exchange meeting with the chairman, members and officials of Rangamati Hill Tracts District Council at the meeting room of Rangamati Hill Tracts today.

At the view exchange meeting presided over by Rangamati Hill Tracts Chairman Kajal Talukder, the adviser told the members that in addition to marketing cashew nuts and coffee as reliable branding of Bangladesh in the agricultural sector of Chittagong Hill Tracts, fruits and vegetables from here should be processed and marketed. Besides, horticulture should be developed to maintain environmental balance. He also said that bamboo cultivation should be increased to maintain environmental balance.
