The Russian House in Dhaka organised a Matryoshka doll painting master class in the capital on Friday, aiming to introduce participants to Russian culture and traditional folk art.
The event was arranged in association with the Serov Academy of Fine Arts and brought together around 30 students from different educational institutions, including members of the academy.
During the workshop, participants learned the traditional art of painting Russian Matryoshka dolls using pastel, watercolour, and poster colours. The session also highlighted the history, symbolism, and cultural significance of the iconic Russian nesting dolls.
The workshop created an enthusiastic and creative environment as students explored artistic expression while gaining insight into Russian cultural heritage.
Organisers said the event served as a platform for cultural exchange and artistic learning, helping strengthen cultural ties between Bangladesh and Russia through hands-on creative experiences.
