Alliance Française de Dhaka invites you to the opening of the exhibition titled "Hermony" by artist Rubaiya Saom Dina at its Galerie Zoom.

The exhibition will be inaugurated on Friday, 12 September 2025, at 6:00 pm.

About the Exhibition

Rivers are inseparably connected with our nature, life, and culture. The flow of rivers, the lives of people along their banks, their joys and sorrows, hopes and struggles—all are reimagined in the artist’s creative expression. At times the river becomes the life-giving force, at times the darkness of death; Dina brings forth this dual essence through her lines and colors.

Born in Faridpur, on the banks of the Padma, Dina has drawn inspiration from the rhythm of rivers since childhood. Naturally, rivers and riverine life reappear as recurring themes in her artistic journey.

The exhibition features works in multiple mediums, including performance art, video art, oil, acrylic, watercolor, ink, and line drawings. Each piece reflects the rhythm of rivers, their intimate connection with people, and the continuous dialogue of life in motion.

Alongside her artistic practice, Rubaiya Saom Dina teaches at Nalonda High School (Chhayanaut), Bangladesh Shishu Academy and Shilparannya.

The exhibition will be open to all until 23 September 2025, from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Monday to Saturday. Sundays are closed. – Press release
