Bauphal Municipality mayor inaugurates DRU winter badminton contest

Dhaka, 22 Dec  - Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) winter badminton tournament was formally inaugurated today on its premises in the city.

Patuakhali's Bauphal Municipality Mayor Md. Ziaul Haque Jewel formally inaugurated the meet as the chief guest.

DRU general secretary Mainul Hasan Sohel delivered the welcome speech in the inauguration ceremony with its president Morsalin Nomani in the chair.
 
DRU's office secretary Kawsar Azam, entertainment secretary Mohammad Naimuddin, DRU's executive members Kiran Sheikh and Mostafizur Rahman Sumon were also present in the opening ceremony, conducted by DRU's sports secretary Mahbubur Rahman.
 
DRU's former joint secretaries Arafat Dariya and Shahnaz Sharmin, former information technology and training secretary Kamal Mosharef, former executive member Sayed Khan and Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha's deputy chief news editor Swapan Bashu were, among others, present in the 
opening ceremony.
