Banks to follow new schedule for transactions from Monday

All scheduled banks in the country will follow a new schedule for transactions from Monday three days after the holy month of Ramadan began on Friday (March 24).
New schedule will be effective from today as earlier three days included weekends on Friday and Saturday and public holiday on Independence Day (March 26).
The Bangladesh Bank fixed office hours from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm for all scheduled banks in the country during the holy month of Ramadan.
However, people will be allowed to make banking transactions from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm, according to the circular of the department of Off-site Supervision of the central bank on Wednesday (March 15).
For bank staff, there will be a break of 15 minutes from 1:15 pm to 1:30 pm for Zuhr prayers.
The office and banking hour will return to the earlier time after Ramadan, said the BB’s notice.
