BRAC Bank wins four VISA Awards



Dhaka, Saturday, 16 Nov: BRAC Bank has won four prestigious Visa awards this year in recognition of its outstanding business in the cards issuing and acquiring and value-added services categories.

The bank has secured awards at the VISA Leadership Conclave 2024, recognising its excellence in Consumer Debit Card, Commercial Debit Card, Merchant Acquiring POS, and Value-Added Services (VAS) categories.

The conclave honoured various banks, mobile financial services (MFS) providers, and merchants who contributed to Bangladesh’s digital payments ecosystem.

Ashik Chowdhury, Executive Chairman of the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority; Rafeza Akhter Kanta, Director of the Payment Systems Department of Bangladesh Bank; Sandeep Ghosh, Group Country Manager for India and South Asia; and Sabbir Ahmed, Visa’s Country Manager for Bangladesh, Nepal, and Bhutan, attended the ceremony at a local hotel in Dhaka on November 7, 2024.

Selim R. F. Hussain, Managing Director and CEO; Md. Mahiul Islam, Deputy Managing Director and Head of Retail Banking; and Syed Abdul Momen, Deputy Managing Director and Head of SME Banking; attended the award ceremony.
