Nazia Kabir Joins Prime Bank PLC. as First Female Independent Director

Dhaka, December 18, 2024: Nazia Kabir, a partner at the renowned legal advisory firm “Syed Ishtiaq Ahmed & Associates” and an advocate at the High Court Division of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh, has recently joined the Board of Directors of Prime Bank PLC. as the first female Independent Director.

Nazia Kabir holds a Bar-at-Law degree from Lincoln’s Inn Society in the United Kingdom, an LLB (Honors) from the University of Wolverhampton, a Master’s degree in International Trade Law from Brunel University, and a Postgraduate Diploma from City University. She is also a member of both the Bangladesh Supreme Court Bar Association and the Dhaka Bar Association.

With over two decades of experience, Nazia Kabir has been providing legal counsel on various matters, including company and banking law, project financing and public-private partnerships, mergers and acquisitions, mediation and arbitration proceedings.
