BGB seizes Indian goods worth over Tk 1.53 crore in Feni

The Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) seized Indian goods worth over Tk 1.53 crore during separate anti-smuggling drives along the Feni border early today.


According to a BGB press release, the drives were conducted in border areas of Fulgazi and Chhagalnaiya upazilas as part of regular operations to prevent drug trafficking and smuggling.

The seized goods included various types of Indian sarees, three-piece outfits and cover vans, the release said.

Commanding Officer of BGB-4 Feni Battalion Lieutenant Colonel MM Zillur Rahman, said the paramilitary force remains vigilant and active in preventing drug trafficking, smuggling and illegal border crossings, ensuring overall border security and combating all kinds of border-related crimes, reports BSS.

Such operations and activities would continue in the future to protect the border, he added.
