Dhaka Bank, DNCC sign MoU to collect holding tax, license fee

Dhaka Bank and Dhaka North City Corporation signed an MoU for the collection of holding tax and licence fees on Monday.



Dhaka Bank PLC. has signed a memorandum of understating on January 20, 2025 (Monday) for collecting Holding Tax and Trade License Fee of Dhaka North City Corporation at Nagar Bhaban at Gulshan. Mr. Sheikh Mohammad Maroof, Managing Director and CEO, Dhaka Bank PLC and Mr. Mohammed Masud

Alam Siddique, Chief Executive Officer, Dhaka North City Corporation signed agreements on behalf of their respective organizations. Mr. Sheikh Abdul Bakir, Deputy Managing Director, Dhaka Bank Plc delivered a speech expressing his assurance of providing uninterrupted and modern banking services.

Mr. Mohammad Moniruzzaman, Chief Revenue Officer, Dhaka North City Corporation also emphasized on the need for service excellence in his speech.

Dhaka North City Corporation along with senior officers of both organizations were present in the ceremony.

Under the agreement, Dhaka Bank will collect fees and taxes from Dhaka Bank branches and sub-branches by establishing API connectivity with Dhaka North City Corporation server in the first phase. In the next phase, residents of Dhaka North City Corporation will be able to pay fees and taxes online on a real-time basis from anywhere through Dhaka Bank Mobile App and Internet Banking. – Press release
