Education Minister Dipu Moni said on Saturday that trial version textbooks books under the new curriculum were given to 33,000 primary and secondary schools this year.
Feedback from teachers, students, parents and educators would be considered on regular basis to improve the books, she said, “there may be mistakes in the books distributed among the students.”
She called for reporting possible mistakes in the contents for correction in future while speaking as the chief guest at the discussion on facing challenges of the fourth industrial revolution in the 21st century and the role of the students in building a smart Bangladesh hosted by the Bangladesh Chhatra League on Dhaka University campus.
She said, “We should attach greater importance to technical education. We are working to remove the barriers to transition from technical education to higher education. We are working to modernise madrasa education.”
Chaired by Chhatra League President Saddam Hussain the event was moderated by its General Secretary Sheikh Wali Asif Inan while Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Digital University Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Mahfuzul Islam presented the keynote paper.
