Book festival to be held Monday in C'nawabganj

Cent percent against the demand of 10,42,000 books have been supplied for 2,75,000 students of 705 primary schools.



Like elsewhere in the country book festival would be held tomorrow in schools of the district and all students of primary and secondary levels would get new books.

According to the Chapainawabganj District Primary Education Office sources, cent percent against the demand of 10,42,000 books have been supplied for 2,75,000 students of 705 primary schools. 

On the other hand, for 1,21,080 secondary students (Bengali version), 10,07,527 books have so far been supplied against the demand of 11,82,676 which shows 85 percent, Chapainawabganj District Secondary Education Office sources said. 

Besides, 46 percent books for 2,520 students of vocational trade, cent percent books for 49,565 Ebtedayee (class one to five) students and 69 percent books for 41,375 Dakhil (class six to nine) students have been supplied and the rest of the books would be supplied very soon, the district secondary education officer Md Abdur Rashid confirmed.
