19 Arrested Attempting to Enter India Illegally

BGB arrest bangladeshis while they were trying to cross border illegally



Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel apprehended 19 Bangladeshi nationals during separate operations as they attempted to cross into India illegally at various border points in Moheshpur upazila.


A team from BGB’s Benipur BoP arrested three individuals, including a woman, while BGB forces at Baghadanga BoP detained eight people, comprising four women and two children. In a third operation, BGB personnel from Kushumpur BoP captured seven people, including two women and two children, attempting to enter India unlawfully.

Among the arrested were Miraj, 28, from Pipulbaria village in Moheshpur, Sohagh Biswas, 30, from Goalanda in Rajbari, Bikash Chandra Das, 35, from Faridganj in Chandpur, Manishangkar Majumder, 33, and his brother Rubel Chandra Majumder, 37, from Chitalmari in Bagerhat, Kalangir Fakir, 45, from Mollahat in Khulna, and Shibaji Biswas, 19, from Satpara village in Gopalganj. The BGB has not disclosed the identities of the women and children.

The male detainees were handed over to Moheshpur Thana for further legal proceedings.
