Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) successfully prevented an attempt by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) to construct a barbed-wire fence near the zero point along the Dahgram border in Patgram upazila, Lalmonirhat district, on Monday.

According to Subedar Lutfur Rahman, commanding officer of BGB’s Panbari Company, members of the 6th BSF Battalion from Arun Camp in West Bengal tried to erect the fence with iron rods near the Sardar Para area in the morning.

Upon receiving the alert, BGB officials swiftly arrived at the site and instructed the BSF personnel to halt their construction activities. The BSF members complied, stopped the work, and left the area.

Subedar Lutfur emphasized that BGB remains on high alert to prevent any such incidents in the future. Despite the resolution, tensions continue to simmer in the area following the incident.
