Bangladeshi killed in ‘BSF firing’ along Thakurgaon border

A Bangladeshi man was shot dead allegedly by the members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) along Minapur border in Haripur upazila of Thakurgaon district early Saturday.


The deceased was identified as Azgarh Ali, 32, son of Kanu Ali of Jibonpur village of the upazila.

The BSF members opened fire on Azgarh Ali  near the border pillar no 353 around 4 am, leaving him dead, said Zakaria Mandal, officer-in-charge of Haripur Police Station.

Lieutenant Colonel Tanjir Ahmed of BGB-50 said he had heard about the death of the man along the border, reports UNB.
