
Gold prices have risen again in the local market, with 22-carat gold increasing by Tk1,050 per bhori.
Starting Wednesday, 22-carat gold will be sold at Tk1,72,651 per bhori nationwide.
The Bangladesh Jewellers’ Association (BAJUS) announced the updated rates on Tuesday night, citing a rise in pure gold prices in the local market as the reason for the hike.
Under the new rates, 21-carat gold will cost Tk1,64,801 per bhori, 18-carat gold Tk1,41,263, and traditional gold Tk1,16,850 per bhori.
Silver prices, however, remain unchanged. The price of 22-carat silver is Tk2,811 per bhori, 21-carat Tk2,683, 18-carat Tk2,298, and traditional silver Tk1,726 per bhori.
