DU marks Messi’s birthday with flash mob, cake cutting

A flash mob and cake-cutting ceremony were held at Dhaka University (DU) on Wednesday marking the 39th birthday of Argentine soccer star Lionel Messi.


Dhaka University Argentina Unity Council organised the event on the Teacher-Student Centre (TSC) premises around 7:00pm.

Argentine Ambassador to Bangladesh Marcelo Carlos Cesa attended the programme.

Argentine national football team skipper Messi scored his 17th and 18th World Cup goals against Aurtria in the ongoing FIFA World Cup on June 22 to set a new tournament scoring record as the defending champions secured a place in the knockout stage with a 2-0 victory, reports UNB.
