Educational institutions in 3 divisions to remain closed Tuesday

All the educational institutions of Khulna, Barishal and Chittagong divisions will remain closed tomorrow due to cyclone Sitrang.

   The Ministry of Education has given instructions to use the educational institutions in the cyclone-affected areas as shelters, according to a press release of the education ministry.

   The ministry said classes of the educational institutions which will be used as shelters will be closed until further orders.

   The tip of Cyclone Sitrang hit the coast of Bangladesh as soon as it touched the coast this evening, heavy gusty winds and rain started, according to sources in the Meteorological Department.

   The cyclone is expected to cross the coast of Barishal and Chittagong by midnight today, reports BSS.
