Prof Abul Kashem made KAU new VC
Dr Abul Kashem Chowdhury, Professor of Department of Genetics and Plant Breeding of Patuakhali Science and Technology University, has been appointed as the vice-chancellor (VC) of Khulna Agriculture University (KAU).

President M Abdul Hamid, as the chancellor of the university, appointed him to the post for the next four-year term, a press release signed by registrar of the university Dr Khondokar Mazharul Anwar, said today.
In 1989, Dr Kashem joined Patuakhali Science and Technology University as a lecturer and later upgraded as Professor.
Over 53 research articles of Dr Kashem have been published in different journals of home and abroad, said the press release.
