Philosophical society's national seminar held at RU

The third National Seminar of Bangladesh Philosophical Society (BPS) has been held at Rajshahi University (RU).



The third National Seminar of Bangladesh Philosophical Society (BPS) has been held at Rajshahi University (RU).
The Department of Philosophy of the university organized the day-long seminar at Senate Building on Saturday.
The university vice-chancellor Professor Golam Sabbir Sattar was present as the chief guest at the seminar. Pro-vice-chancellors Professor Sultan-ul Islam and Professor M. Humayun Kabir and Arts Faculty dean Professor Fazlur Haque were present as special guests.
Sajahan Mia, BPS president and Honorary Professor of Philosophy Department of Dhaka University, presided over the event and RU Philosophy Department president Professor Nilufar Ahmed was the convener of the seminar implementation committee.
Philosophy Department assistant professor Tasnim Nadira Rida conducted the program.
The vice-chancellor said at the event that philosophical practice is one of the ways to reach the highest level of knowledge and science in the present time.
The main topic of the seminar is ethics and logic in good governance this year. Besides discussions, nine research papers were presented in this seminar.
About 200 students along with researchers from some colleges including Rajshahi, Dhaka, Jahangirnagar, Chattogram and Jagannath University participated at the programme.
