IU student found dead in pond

A student of Al-Quran and Islamic Studies department under 2021-22 session at Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia was found dead in a pond adjacent to Shah Azizur Rahman hall.
The deceased was Sajid Abdullah, son of Muhammad Ahsan of Ghatail upazila under Tangail district.
His body was seen floating at the pond at around 5:30pm. Later, IU thana police rescued the body and took it to the medical centre. Where the
attending doctor confirmed his death and referred to Kushtia Medical College hospital for further formalities, reports BSS.
The reason for his death has not been known yet.
