Elections to RUCSU, CUCSU will be proper: Adviser
Home Adviser Lt Gen (retd) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury today said the RUCSU and CUCSU elections will be held in proper manner.
"Elections to RUCSU and CUCSU will go peacefully," he said.
He was speaking to the journalists after coming out from a meeting about the overall preparations and security arrangements ahead of the RUCSU and CUCSU elections.
Elections to the Rajshahi University Central Students' Union (RUCSU) and hall unions and the Chittagong University Central Students' Union (CUCSU) and hall unions will be held on September 25 and October 12.
During the meeting, the Dhaka University and Jahangirnagar Univeraity exchanged their experience about holding the DUCSU and JUCSU elections with the Rajshahi University and Chittagong University authorities.
The Home Adviser hoped that the elections will be held fairly like the DUCSU and JUCSU elections, reports BSS.
He said the mechanism of holding the elections fairly can be adopted in the upcoming national elections.
