KUET, Indonesia’s PPNS sign MoU on academic cooperation

Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) and Indonesia’s Politeknik Perkapalan Negeri Surabaya (PPNS) on Tuesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen bilateral cooperation in education, research and social services.


The MoU signing ceremony was held at the Vice-Chancellor’s office of KUET. 

Registrar of KUET Eng. Md Anisur  Rahman Bhuiyan signed the agreement on behalf of the university, while Muhammad Anis Mustaghfirin signed for PPNS, Indonesia.

KUET Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Md Maksud Helali attended the ceremony as the chief guest.

AS part of the MoU, the two institutions will collaborate to enhance students’ skills in line with modern advancement in science and engineering technology, undertake joint research activities and exchange institutional experiences.

Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Professor Dr Mohammad Sultan Mahmud, Director of IQAC Professor Dr Md Hasanuzzaman and Professor of the Department of Mechanical Engineering Dr Mohammad Ariful Islam were also present at the event.

Both sides expressed optimism that the MoU would open new avenues in higher education and research and further strengthen relations between the two institutions, reports BSS.
