Purnima waits for release of her 3 films

Three upcoming movies starring National Film Award-winning actress Purnima are in the pipeline for release.



Three upcoming movies starring National Film Award-winning actress Dilara Hanif Rita, widely known by her screen name Purnima, are in the pipeline for release. The three movies are ‘Ahare Jiban’, directed by Chhatku Ahmed, ‘Gangchil’ and ‘Jam’, directed by Noim Imtiaz Neyamul.
Actor Ferdous Ahmed acted opposite Purnima in the films Ahare Jiban’ and ‘Gangchil’, while Arifin Shuvoo acted opposite her in ‘Jam’.
Purnima’s last released movie was ‘Chironjib Mujib’, directed by Nazrul Islam, where the actress played the role of Bangamata Fazilatunnessa Mujib. Although the movie was released only in Bogura last year, Purnima’s fans have been eagerly awaiting the release of her new films.
The actress has completed almost all the work of Chhatku Ahmed’s ‘Ahare Jiban’. The story of the movie revolves around the pandemic period. Purnima said, “This is the first time I have worked under Chhatku Ahmed’s direction.”
He was the one who showed interest in casting me in this film. Overall, the final outcome of the film came out according to our expectations. Now, the success of this movie depends on the audience after its release.”
Purnima starrer films, ‘Gangchil’ and ‘Jam’, both still have some work left to complete. “I’m also waiting for the two films. It is yet to be decided on the release time. I know my audience is also waiting for the release of these two films,” said the actress.
Meanwhile, the actress visited Australia with her husband and child.
While it is uncertain whether Purnima will be seen in any drama or telefilm this Eid, she has returned to the country from Australia before Ramadan and participated in several stage shows, alongside Ferdous Ahmed.
Although Purnima will be seen in the web series ‘Hotel Relax’, directed by Kajal Arefin Ome. For the first time in her career, popular actress Purnima is going to act in a web series.
Purnima will play the role of a police officer. Along with Purnima, the six-episode web series also casts Ziaul Haque Polash, Shimul Sharma, Chashi Alam, Marzuk Russell, Parsana Eva, and others. The series will be available on the streaming platform Bongo BD.
Purnima made her film debut with ‘E Jibon Tomar Amar’ in 1998. Her notable performance includes ‘Megher Por Megh’ based on the liberation war and directed by Chashi Nazrul Islam. Purnima acted in ‘Shuva’, a story based on Rabindranath Tagore’s short story ‘Shubhashini’.
