Actor Shakib Khan opens business

Shakib introduced everyone to the new company at a five-star hotel on Saturday.

Dhallywood superstar Shakib Khan has become the managing director and the owner of Remark & Harlan, a Walton-financed business.

Shakib introduced everyone to the new company at a five-star hotel on Saturday.

Shakib said: “You've known me in that form and identity for so long, and you've given me the titles of star and superstar. As of today, I have another identity as a businessman. I'm presenting it to everyone now, yet it occurred a long time ago.”

Shakib expects that, like Walton, Remark and Harlan will give thousands of people employment in the near future.

Regarding joining this company, Shakib said: “Earlier my business was focused on movies. It is really challenging for me to come out and become a businessman.”

Various products including skin care, cosmetics, toiletries, home care, perfume will be sold from Shakib's company.

Shakib and associates are striving to import these items outside of the country, into Europe and America.

Chairman of Remark and Harlan are SM Ashraful Alam, Vice Chairman Sonia Akhtar, Shahriar Alam Shuvo (Director), Fariha Alam Prabha (Director), Alisa Nawar (Director), Abul Bashar Howlader (Director) and Emdadul Haque Sarkar (CEO Harlan). 

They were also present with Shakib in the opening ceremony.
