Band singer Tashrif to perform at JnU to collect cancer-affected student funds

Along with ‘Kureghor’, popular bands including Metrolife, ODD Signature, Pratibimbo, and Chandergari will participate in the concert.



Tasrif Khan and his band ‘Kureghor’ will perform in a concert to be held at Jagannath University (JnU) on February 28 to collect fund for the treatment of a cancer-affected student.

The student is Zaheer Uddin Shakhawat, of the Marketing Department of the university of 2016-17 academic year , has been suffering from blood cancer (non-Hodgkin lymphoma).

The concert will be held at 3 pm on the day in the science faculty premises of the university.

Along with ‘Kureghor’, popular bands including Metrolife, ODD Signature, Pratibimbo, and Chandergari will participate in the concert.

On behalf of the organisers, Al Shahriar Shawon, a student of the academic year 2020-2021, said, "We have taken this initiative to collect money for Zahir bhai's treatment. He is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in the capital. Now around Tk 20 lakh is required for his treatment. We have taken the initiative to think about this..”

The ticket price for the students of Jagannath University has been fixed at Tk 100 while for outsiders Tk 150.
