Metropolitan FIDE Rating Chess to begin July 26

Dhaka, 15 July  - The Metropolitan FIDE Rating Chess tournament will begin from July 26 at sports room of Bangladesh Chess Federation (BCF).

Participation in this competition will remain open for chess players rated below 2100 and unrated.

Organised by BCF, the competition will be held in a nine-round Swiss-League format. The top 16 players of this competition will get an opportunity to participate in this year's National 'B' Chess Championship.

The intending players have been asked to submit their entry fee along with entry fee of Taka 200 by July 24.

In this regards, a press conference was held today (Saturday) at BCF hall room to provide all the details of the league.

BCF's general secretary Syed Shahab Uddin Shamim, and International Chess Arbiter Md. Haroon Or Rashid, were among others, present at the press conference.
