IM Fahad finishes 78th in Qatar Masters Chess
DHAKA, 11 Oct - IM Mohammad Fahad Rahman of Bangladesh finished at 78th in the Qatar Masters Open 2023 held in Doha Qatar.
IM Mohammad Fahad Rahman earned 4.5 points after the ninth round games and tied for the 71st place after finishing at 78th position in the tie-breaking system.
IM Mohammad Fahad Rahman drew with IM S Teja Ravi of India in the ninth round match which was held on Friday last. He also increased seven rating from this event.
GM Yakubboev Nodirbek of Uzbekistan emerged champion and GM Abdusattorov Nodirbek of Uzbekistan became runner-up with seven points.
Former World champion Magnus Carlsen became 16th with six points.
A total of 158 players from 31 countries including 58 grandmasters, 6 women's grandmasters, 56 International Masters and 6 Women's International Masters participated in the event.
