Int'l Rating Chess competition begins tomorrow

Dhaka, 28 Dec -Int'l Rating Chess competition begins from tomorrowa t Bangladesh Chess Federation (BCF) hall room.

In this regard, a press conference was held today (Thursday) at BCF hall room to provide all the details of the meet.

The organizers said participation in this competition is open to both rated and unrated chess players.

They said interested participants will have to submit their names to the BCF office with the prescribed entry fee by Friday.

The week-long meet, organized by BCF, will be played in a nine-round Swiss-League format. The winners of this competition will be given a total cash prize of Taka 1,76,000.00 (One lakh seventy six thousand).

F.M. Iqbal Bin Anowar (Dawn), senior executive director of WALTON Hi-Tech Industries PLC., BCF executive member Kamruzzaman Bhuiyan, International chess arbiter Md. Haroon Or Rashid, Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC additional director Mehrab Hossain Asif and International Arbiter Shajahan Kabir were present in the press conference.
