National Women's Chess Championship inaugurated

Dhaka, 20 May- The 42nd National Women's Chess Championship was inaugurated today (Monday) at Bangladesh Chess Federation hall-room. 

Walton Group senior executive director FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn officially inaugurated it as the chief guest. 
 
A total of twelve players are taking part in the eleven-day round robin league event, organised by Bangladesh Chess Federation.
 
In the first round matches on the opening day, WCM Nusrat Jahan Alo played with WFM Wadifa Ahmed, WFM Jannatul Ferdous played with WCM Ishrat Jahan Diba, WCM Warsia Khusbu played with WCM Ahmed Walijah, Tabassum Sadia Shahjahan played with WFM Noshin Anjum, WIM Rani Hamid played with WIM Sharmin Sultana Shirin and Neelava Choudhury played with WCM Kazi Zarin Tasnim.
