Mild to severe cold wave sweeping over parts of the country: BMD

Weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country, according to a weather forecast for next 24hours begins from 9am Sunday.



Mild to severe cold wave is sweeping over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna and Barishal divisions and the districts of Cumilla, Sitakunda and Moulvibazar and it may abate from some places.

Weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country, according to a weather forecast for next 24hours begins from 9am Sunday.

Moderate to thick fog may occur at places over the river basins and light to moderate fog at places elsewhere over the country during midnight to morning. Inland river transport may disrupt due to thick fog.

Country's maximum temperature on Saturday was recorded 26.3 degree celsius jointly at Sitakunda and Teknaf and the minimum temperature today was recorded 05.0 degree celsius at Tetulia.

Ridge of sub-continental high extends up to West Bengal and adjoining area. Seasonal low lies over South Bay, extending its trough to North Bay.

Night temperature may rise by (1-2)oC and day temperature may rise slightly over the country.
