Abbas Goudarzi, spokesman for the Iranian parliament’s presiding board, said the US is deceptive and only understands “the language of force and the logic of power”, the semiofficial Mehr news agency reports.

Goudarzi also warned against engaging in negotiations that weaken Iran’s regional allies.

He added that leaving the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) is “a completely achievable and readily attainable step”.

Israel, which has an undeclared nuclear arsenal, is among a handful of countries that are not signatories to the treaty, reports AL Jazeera.
