Russia drones hit Kharkiv petrol station, killing one
Ukrainian authorities on Saturday said a Russian drone attack had struck a petrol station in the eastern city of Kharkiv, spraying nearby homes with burning fuel and killing at least one person.
Kharkiv mayor Igor Terekhov said at least 50 people, including two children, were evacuated following the attack.
"The enemy's Shaheds (Iranian-made drones) hit a petrol station, causing burning fuel to spill out and 14 private houses to burn," he said, adding the fire was burning across a wide area.
"The State Emergency Service continues to fight the fire and search for possible victims."
Emergency workers rescued four people, with one person sustaining burns to 40 percent of their body, Kharkiv regional prosecutor Oleksandr Filachkov said.
Filachkov later confirmed authorities found the body of at least one person.
Saturday's strike followed a string of night-time attacks in Kharkiv and Velekyi Burluk, a village east of the regional capital, reports BSS.
The region's governor Oleg Synegubov earlier said civilian areas in both locations were hit, including a cafe in Velekyi Burluk.
