Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has called a meeting of the National Command Authority (NCA) on Saturday, following Pakistan’s military strikes on multiple targets in India as part of a newly launched operation.

The NCA is the country’s highest civilian-military decision-making body on national security matters, including control and oversight of Pakistan’s nuclear arsenal.

Tensions between Pakistan and India have surged in recent days, with both sides accusing each other of airspace violations involving drones and other munitions. The exchanges have reportedly left at least 48 people dead.

The situation remains volatile, with the NCA meeting expected to assess strategic responses amid the growing hostilities.
