Iran’s Revolutionary Guard intelligence chief and two generals were killed in Israeli airstrikes on Sunday, marking a major escalation in the ongoing conflict between Iran and Israel.

Israeli forces continued targeting Tehran and other Iranian cities for a third straight day. In retaliation, Iran launched missile strikes on Israeli positions.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi warned that Tehran would stop its response only if Israel halts attacks on Iranian soil.

Iranian sources report at least 224 deaths since the Israeli strikes began. On the Israeli side, 13 deaths have been confirmed from Iran’s counterattacks.

Meanwhile, the Gaza conflict persists. Gaza’s Health Ministry reports 55,362 Palestinians killed and 128,741 wounded since October 7, 2023. In Israel, 1,139 people were killed and over 200 taken hostage during the Hamas-led assault that began the war.
