Russian State Corporation Rosatom Organises Series of Events

Dhaka, September 19. Rosatom organised a series of communication events for journalists representing the leading media of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh (PRB).

The central event was the ceremony of awarding the winners and prizewinners of the ‘Precise Energy’ Competition in mathematics, chemistry and physics. The Competition was organised by the Rosatom in February 2020. Students of higher educational institutions located in the region of the Rooppur NPP construction were invited to participate.

The updated layout of the Rooppur NPP was also presented to the journalists. In addition, during the events, workshops were held to discuss the role of nuclear energy in the sustainable development of Bangladesh. The key topic was the contribution of the Rosatom to the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The audience was highly interested in this topic.

The events ended with a Q and A session. The journalists received detailed answers and comments to their questions. – Press release
