A Dhaka court Tuesday (July 19) fixed August 24 for the submission of the probe report in the murder case of journalist couple Sagar Sarowar and Meherun Runi.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Devdas Chandra Adhikari fixed the new date as investigation agency Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) failed to submit the report today.
Sagar, news editor of private TV station Maasranga and his wife Runi, senior reporter of another private TV channel, ATN Bangla, were brutally murdered in their rented flat on February 11, 2011.
Later, eight suspects were arrested in connection with the murder of the journalist couple.
